Mick Jagger to perform at White House blues event

Mick will be performing at In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues, an event to celebrate and honour blues music. Mick is joining artists such as Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Keb Mo and Derek Trucks, among many other esteemed musicians. Booker T. Jones will be music director and band leader.

The gig takes place on Tuesday 21^st February, and will be filmed in the East Room of the White House. President and Mrs Obama are hosting the event as part of Black History Month. The performances will pay homage to the blues of the Mississippi Delta and the legendary Chicago blues, and trace the influence of the blues on modern American music from soul to rock’n’roll.

The concert will be aired on television on Monday 27^th February at 9pm EST on PBS.

Mick Jagger sings on new Will.I.Am track “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)”

Mick Jagger has collaborated with Will.I.Am on the debut single of his latest album #willpower. Jagger’s vocals, along with those of Jennifer Lopez, are featured on the song, “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)”. The track will be available to download from iTunes on Sunday night, following Will.I.Am and Lopez’s performance at the American Music Awards. Jagger, Lopez and Will.I.Am were filmed for the video in Los Angeles in London by director, Rich Lee. The video will be released later this month.
